Neraida is a Bosun Queen Bermudan Ketch, built in Sweden in 1981, by NAUTOR. 55 feet in length, she is long, sleek and fast. Neraida means ‘sea nymph’ (in Greek).

Construction is of GRP. Hull colour is white, with navy stripe, and bottom. Her teak decks were fully renewed last year.  She has new standing and running rigging. She is powered by a 55hp
Perkins diesel motor, recently totally re-built. We have owned Neraida for 10 years, and for 7 of those we kept her in Corfu, and cruised the Ionian. She is a wonderful yacht to cruise, being
comfortable and easy to get about, having flat decks, plenty of space in the cockpit, self steering, roller furling headsail, and electric anchor winch.

She is also a competitive racer, and is eligible for ‘classic races’ having full IOR certificate.

Below decks she is expensively fitted out all in teak, with new quality light fittings, brass clock and barometer.  Seat cushions are all newly covered in cream suedette, and have fitted ‘over-
covers’ in coral, for when we are racing. The large saloon has a fold down table that will seat up to 10, a large range of teak  lined cupboards, and there is new cream headlining throughout
the boat. The seating either side of the saloon can be used as 2 additional berths.

The galley has a stainless steel cooker with two gas cook tops and gas oven and grill. Double bowl stainless steel sink with mixer tap – pressurised hot water system. Central heating
throughout makes it very cosy in winter.  There are five electric fans for cooling.  Excellent refrigerator compartment in galley bench. Power points for shore power.  Radio/CD player with
speakers in saloon and waterproof speakers on deck.

The navigation station is opposite the galley, and has new Autohelm ST7000, GPS, 32 mile Raytheon Radar, and  C Map Plotter, Navtex, and Weatherfax. The VHF Radio has a hand-held
unit for use on deck.  Repeater units in cockpit for windspeed, direction, boat speed, depth etc.

Aft cabin has two berths and two wardrobes. It has en-suite head with teak bench with inset stainless steel basin with hand held shower, toilet and teak cupboards.

Forward cabin has large double berth, teak shelves, dressing area with wardrobe, cupboard and shelves. En suite head, with teak bench with inset stainless steel basin, hand held shower,
toilet.

All plumbing and electrics on the boat have been recently renewed.

On deck -  aft cockpit with stainless steel steering wheel, steering compass, under seat  locker, large lazarette, with generator in.  Removable cockpit table.  Life raft, Dan buoy, Electric
Windlass with foot operated buttons and remote control.

All covers  are new – dark navy best quality fabric – sail covers for main and mizzen, spray hood, steering wheel cover, life raft cover, windlass cover, cockpit seat and back cushions. These
finishing touches make Neraida look very smart. There are two navy/silver sun reflective awnings, which fit over the main boom and mizzen boom, making dining on deck in warm weather
extremely pleasant and comfortable.

Sails:
Roller furling jib – with new Furlex furling mechanism.
Main with slab reefing system
Mizzen
Light weight spinnaker- multicoloured
Heavy weight spinnaker- red
Asymmetric spinnaker- royal blue.
Storm jib
No. 2 jib

Other:
Nine lifejackets, harnesses, lifelines etc.
Passerale for boarding.
Warps
Sheets
Fenders
Gas bottle, new gas line, gas detector

Neraida has undergone a total re-fit from stem to stern, including new teak deck and balsa sandwich, new Lofrans anchor winch, new electrics and plumbing, new standing and running
rigging and all new navtronics and radar. All mechanicals including the engine, gearbox and generator were also totally rebuilt. She is a  stylish and comfortable yacht, equally happy
doing blue-water passage making, gentle cruising either under sail or motor, or going racing. She has all the facilities to make living on board, or entertaining in port a delightful experience.
